Bright Idea

Print out our stylized branch and blossom templates to give a plain lamp shade a spring makeover.

Here's How: Open and print the templates below onto cardstock. Depending on your lamp shade, you may need to enlarge or reduce the size of the templates. Select complementary fabrics for the branch and blossom patterns. Following directions on the packaging, apply iron-on adhesive sheets to the back of all fabrics. Trace templates onto the back of fabrics and cut out. Position pieces on paper until you find a design you like. Peel paper backing from smaller circles and lightly fuse them to large ones. Peel paper backing from large circles and branch. Using only the tip of the iron, and applying gentle pressure to avoid warping lamp shade, attach the design. Let cool and repeat as many times as you like. (We made 8 blooming branches.)
