Gina Michie and her husband love raising their two sons on the Chesapeake Bay, where they visit historical homes, indulge in the local blue crabs, and take in the annual air show at the Naval Academy.

Locals Love: To welcome spring, downtown shop owners and residents elaborately decorate their doorways with baskets of fresh flowers. Members of the Garden Club judge entries, and winners attend the annual May Day Tea.
Our Annapolis Family: Gina Michie; Ward; Tristan, 11; and Taylor, 15.
After graduating from the University of Massachusetts, I worked for American Airlines in Raleigh, North Carolina. Ward's job in computer sales required frequent travel, and we met at the airport but didn't begin dating until a year later. We married soon after, and when our son Tristan was 6 months old, Ward was transferred to Reston, Virginia. We were completely charmed by Annapolis, and even though it was an hour commute each way for him, we decided to live there.
