Hydrate Hair with a Deep Conditioner

You really can't over-condition hair after a summer's worth of sun, salt and chlorine, says celeb hair guru Dickey, who has styled Sarah Jessica Parker and Alicia Keys. Load up on conditioners that hydrate with coconut or olive oil, or shea butter. If you have the time, leave on for at least five minutes. No need to worry—your hair will absorb only what it needs. Just rinse thoroughly. You can make your own version of a popular treatment from the Hair Rules Salon in NYC: Combine equal parts pure jojoba oil (similar to the oil our hair naturally produces, Dickey says) with avocado or olive oil, and a dollop of a deep conditioner. Work through hair, wait about 20 minutes, then rinse. The combo will replenish, moisturize, soften and decrease frizz.
