One-third of teens eat nutrient-empty fast food on a daily basis. This basically guarantees they're taking in too much fat, sugar and sodium, and not enough fruits, vegetables and fiber. A new USDA study found that only 6% of teenagers eat the recommended amount of vegetables (five servings a day) and only 24% eat enough fruit (also five). It's time to do something about these unhealthy trends. You can start by making a few tweaks to your teen's daily diet.
