Tall arched windows, unique tile work and airy sun-filled rooms—that's what made Soleil Moon Frye and her TV-producer and director husband Jason Goldberg fall for their 1918 Spanish-style Los Angeles house. The generous space was tailor-made for their growing family and Soleil's eclectic decorating style. Her mix of Moroccan, Mediterranean and Asian furnishings sprinkled with richly ornamented accessories creates a relaxed exotic vibe. Soleil calls the look "Bali chic," after the island paradise she loves. "It gives me clarity and makes me happy," she says. In all the rooms cushy sofas, slipcovered in washable cotton canvas, and rustic vintage wood pieces stand up to kids (the couple have two young girls and are expecting a baby). Since moving in seven years ago, Soleil—the former child star of the '80s sitcom Punky Brewster—has been busy cofounding the family media site moonfrye.com, serving as Target's Mommy Ambassador and hosting OWN's Home Made Simple. She also just published Let's Get This Party Started!, an idea-filled book on entertaining with children. With all that's going on, she's had to develop a tolerance for disarray. "Marker on walls can be painted over and cushions flipped to hide spills," she says. "Even so, it isn't always neat."
