Clothing That Protects You from the Sun

You always need to apply sunscreen to exposed skin. But for the rest of your body, Ultraviolet Protection Factor (UPF) clothing can provide even better coverage since there's no chance you'll miss a spot. All of these items have a UPF rating of at least 30, which means only one-thirtieth of the sun's rays reach the skin through the fabric. In comparison, a typical cotton T-shirt has a UPF of 5.

It's a good idea to wear a hat to shield your face from the sun, and this cap adds an extra layer of UPF protection. Plus, the built-in sweatband keeps moisture out of your eyes.
