Date Night

Soft waves plus bold red lips equals sultry style.

Here's how: Create lift at the crown by spritzing a volumizing spray onto your roots, says hairstylist Jeanie Syfu, who created these sensational looks. Blow-dry, then wrap the top layer of hair around Velcro rollers. Curl the rest of your hair in sections with a 1-1/4-inch curling iron. After removing rollers, curl this section with iron and gently run your fingers through hair. Add a little extra volume with a drop of teasing powder at the roots.

Pump up the color—and make it last—by outlining and filling in lips with a deep red liner. Apply lipstick in a similar shade of red with a lip brush, says makeup artist Misuzu Miyake. Groomed brows complete the look, along with a couple of coats of black mascara.

Cocktail Party

Glam it up with a simple topknot and shimmery lids.

Here's how: Shampoo the day before styling for added texture. If needed, refresh the day of with dry shampoo. Make a ponytail at the crown of your head and secure with an elastic. Gently tease hair. Flip the ponytail forward, then wrap it clockwise, fastening with hairpins but leaving it loose and slightly undone. Secure with a light spritz of hair spray.

Make eyes shine with metallic shadows. Brush a silvery shade all over lids, followed by sparkly taupe in the creases, and blend. Add a touch of chocolate brown in the outer corners and apply two coats of black mascara. Up the shimmer with a drop of pearlescent highlighter at inner corners of eyes and top of cheekbones. A swipe of pink lipgloss is the finishing touch.

Family Affair

Be the hostess with the mostest with full curls and glowing skin.

Here's how: Apply leave-in conditioner to tame frizz and protect strands as you style. Use a small curling iron (the size of your natural curl) to revive any ringlets that aren't well defined. Separate them gently with a dime-size drop of shine serum.

For a radiant complexion, start with a thin layer of lightweight foundation. Using your fingers, dab peach cream blush on apples of cheeks, moving outward toward ears. Next, swipe rose-colored powder blush over the same area. Sheer pink lip balm adds just the right amount of color and shine.

Happy Hour

Take your 9-to-5 look up a notch with tousled locks and lusher lashes.

Here's how: Add fullness by applying a quarter-size dollop of mousse through damp strands from roots to tips. Flip your head upside down and blow-dry with high heat using your fingers. When hair is 90% dry, style bangs and smooth ends of hair with a round brush. Curl sections with a 1-inch curling iron, wrapping hair around the rod—and not inside the clamp—to prevent ridges. Mist with a sea salt spray and loosely scrunch waves with fingers for texture and movement.

For bold eyes, gently curl lashes, then place a strip of falsies along upper lash line—trim before if needed. Dot a black line across the lid to fill in any spaces; a "marker" liner is the most precise. Finish with a berry-colored lip stain.
