When lifting bulky boxes and bags, stand as close to the object as possible, pull it into your body and use your biceps to pick it up. Also engage your thigh muscles and push through your legs. If you're shoveling, limit how much snow you scoop each time and use your legs for more power.

Common Causes: Keeping food on the table for too long; storing food at the wrong temperature

Never leave food out for longer than two hours. Keep hot dishes in the oven at 200 to 250 degrees, and leave cold platters in the fridge until right before serving. Reheat leftovers to an internal temperature of 165 degrees, confirmed with a thermometer.
