BBQ Bacon Cheddar Burgers

Makes 6



  1. 1 of 3 Pat shredded zucchini dry and place in a large bowl. Add turkey, 1/4 cup barbecue sauce, salt and pepper. Shape into 6 patties.
  2. 2 of 3 Heat broiler to high. Broil burgers, flipping once, 14 to 18 min. Add a slice of cheddar to each burger and broil 1 to 2 min more.
  3. 3 of 3 Transfer to split brioche rolls and top each with 2 tbsp barbecue sauce and 2 slices turkey bacon, breaking slices in half to fit in bun. Serve with sweet potato fries.

Turkey Burger Tips

  1. 1 of 3 Grated zucchini adds moistness to often-dry ground turkey. A cup of grated or finely chopped mushrooms also works well.
  2. 2 of 3 Skip the mess: Wet your hands when shaping the patties.
  3. 3 of 3 Ditch the bun and wrap this burger in a few lettuce leaves instead, or serve the cheese-topped patty on a salad.
