  1. 1 of 5 Heat oven to 350 degrees .
  2. 2 of 5 Line a 13 x 9 x 2-inch pan with nonstick foil.
  3. 3 of 5 In a large microwave-safe bowl, combine butter and unsweetened chocolate. Microwave 1 minute; whisk to blend slightly. Microwave 1 more minute; whisk until smooth.
  4. 4 of 5 Whisk in sugar, then whisk in eggs, one at a time. Whisk in flour, vanilla and salt. Stir chocolate chips into batter. Spread into foil-lined pan and sprinkle with jimmies, if using. Bake 30 minutes.
  5. 5 of 5 Cool brownie completely in pan on a wire rack. Use foil to lift brownie from pan. Using assorted-size cutters, cut into hearts. Dust plain brownies with confectioners' sugar.
