Quick Strawberry Shortcakes



  1. 1 of 1 Mix sugar, vinegar, honey, ginger and pepper in a bowl. Add 1/2 cup of the strawberries; mash to puree, dissolving sugar. Quarter the remaining 2-1/2 cups berries; add to mixture; stir gently. Serve over shortcakes or inside split cakes.
