  • In a 5- to 6-quart slow cooker, combine onion, garlic, tomatoes, broth, wine, chicken, pork, tomato paste, thyme sprigs and bay leaf. Cook on HIGH for 4 hours or LOW for 7 1/2 hours.

  • Stir in 3/4 cup of the bread crumbs, the beans, kielbasa, chopped thyme, salt and pepper; remove thyme sprigs and bay leaf and discard. Sprinkle each serving with 1/2 tbsp bread crumbs and serve.
