  1. 1 of 5 Heat oven to 400 degrees . Coat a baking sheet with nonstick cooking spray.
  2. 2 of 5 In a large bowl, blend flour and next 6 ingredients. Cut in butter with a pastry cutter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  3. 3 of 5 Add buttermilk, cheddar and thyme and stir until dough forms. Knead a few times in bowl. Divide dough in half and form into balls.
  4. 4 of 5 Place dough balls on baking sheet and flatten into 7-inch circles. Cut each into 6 wedges; brush with egg white.
  5. 5 of 5 Bake 20 to 25 minutes, until golden. Re-cut wedges and serve.
