  2. 2 of 4 Make cherry sauce: In a medium pot, heat oil over medium-high; add onion and cook 3 minutes. Stir in chili powder and cook 30 seconds. Add preserves and mustard; simmer 3 minutes, until smooth. Stir in vinegar.
  3. 3 of 4 Place ham on a rack in a large roasting pan; add 2 cups water. Cover with foil and bake 1 1/2 hours. Uncover and brush with 3/4 cup sauce, reserving the balance. Bake 30 minutes.
  4. 4 of 4 Serve ham with remaining sauce.
