Candy Cane Puffs

  1. 1 of 7 Stir together flour and salt in medium-size bowl.
  2. 2 of 7 Beat butter and sugar in large bowl until smooth and creamy. Beat in egg. Beat in peppermint extract and vanilla.
  3. 3 of 7 On low speed, beat in flour mixture. Wrap dough in plastic wrap; refrigerate 1 hour.
  4. 4 of 7 Heat oven to 375 degrees F.
  5. 5 of 7 Shape dough into 1-inch balls; place on lightly greased baking sheets.
  6. 6 of 7 Bake in 375 degrees F oven for 10 to 12 minutes or until bottoms are lightly browned. Transfer cookies to wire racks to cool completely.
  7. 7 of 7 To top, brush with melted white chocolate; dip lightly in crushed candy canes. Place on waxed paper to harden.
