Green Beans, Hazelnuts and Shallots

  1. 1 of 1 Cook 1 1/2 lbs trimmed green beans in a large pot of boiling salted water for 4 minutes, until crisp-tender. Drain and set aside. In a large skillet, melt 2 tbsp unsalted butter over medium. Add 2 large thinly sliced shallots and 1/2 cup roughly chopped hazelnuts; cook 4 minutes, until shallots are softened. Stir in cooked beans, 1/2 tsp salt and 1/4 tsp black pepper until warm.
