  1. 1 of 3 Heat oven to 400 degrees. Place sweet potatoes on a large rimmed baking sheet and toss with canola oil.
  2. 2 of 3 Bake at 400 degrees for 20 minutes, turning once. Toss with maple syrup, butter, salt and pepper; scatter thyme over top. Roast for an additional 10 minutes.
  3. 3 of 3 Top with hazelnuts just before serving.
