• Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil. Trim tough stems from broccoli rabe and cut into 2-inch pieces. Add broccoli rabe to boiling water and cook 1 minute. Scoop out to a bowl and return water to a boil. Add orecchiette pasta and cook 9 minutes. Meanwhile, clean, trim and slice mushrooms. Melt butter with olive oil in a large skillet. Add mushrooms and cook 3 minutes. Add garlic cloves and cook 1 minute. Drain pasta and set aside. Add broccoli rabe to mushrooms in skillet, along with heavy cream. Simmer 5 minutes. Season with salt and stir in orecchiette. Transfer to a serving bowl and toss with Parmesan. Sprinkle with pepper and serve warm.
