Ditalini with Chickpeas
Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook ditalini according to package directions. Drain, reserving 1/2 cup of pasta water, and return pasta to the pot.Advertisement
Heat oil in a medium-size saucepan over medium-high heat. Add bacon and onion and cook for 3 minutes. Lower heat to medium and add tomatoes and red pepper flakes to saucepan; cook another 15 minutes. Add chickpeas to pot and cook 1 minute or until warmed through.
Stir sauce into pasta, adding pasta water to the sauce if necessary. Serve immediately.
