  1. 1 of 4 Mix flour and salt in bowl.
  2. 2 of 4 With pastry blender or finger-tips, rub butter and shortening into flour mixture until texture of coarse meal.
  3. 3 of 4 Gradually add water, tossing with fork, until mixture begins to mass together.
  4. 4 of 4 Divide dough in half; shape and flatten into disks. Wrap in plastic wrap. Refrigerate until well chilled, about 30 minutes.
