Lattice Apple Pie

  1. 1 of 6 Heat oven to 400 degrees F. Fit one pie crust into 9-inch pie plate. Set aside.
  2. 2 of 6 Unfold other pie crust. Cut into 1-inch-wide strips.
  3. 3 of 6 Combine sliced apples, the 2/3 cup sugar, the apple juice concentrate, cornstarch, lemon juice, cinnamon, nutmeg and salt in large bowl. Pour apple filling into crust in pie plate.
  4. 4 of 6 With pie crust strips, weave a lattice over top of pie. Crimp ends of lattice strips under edge of crust.
  5. 5 of 6 Brush egg wash over lattice. Sprinkle with the 1 tablespoon sugar.
  6. 6 of 6 Bake in 400 degrees F oven for 55 minutes. If edges begin to get too dark after 20 to 25 minutes, cover them with foil. Let cool on wire rack.
