  1. 1 of 3 Heat oven to 375 degrees . In a medium bowl, combine flour, baking powder and salt.
  2. 2 of 3 In a large bowl, beat butter and sugar until light and fluffy, about 5 minutes. Add egg and vanilla and beat until well blended. Gradually add flour mixture and beat until just blended. Tint dough red with paste food coloring.
  3. 3 of 3 Fit a flower disk (with 5 diamond-shaped openings) into a cookie press. Add dough, packing it slightly to remove any air bubbles. Press cookie dough shapes, about 1 1/2 inches apart, on a cookie sheet, adding more dough when necessary. Place several yellow sprinkles in center of each flower. Bake at 375 degrees until set and lightly golden, 10 to 12 minutes. Transfer to a wire rack to cool. Repeat with remaining dough.
