Rigatoni With Broccoli

  1. 1 of 1 Heat 2 tablespoons oil in large skillet. Add 1 onion, diced, 1 sweet red pepper, thinly sliced, 2 cups broccoli flowerets, 1/4 teaspoon dried basil, 1/2 teaspoon salt, 1/4 teaspoon pepper and 1 clove garlic, finely chopped; cook 6 minutes. Add 3/4 pound hot Italian sausage, crumbled; cook 4 minutes. Add 1/3 cup white wine; cook 3 minutes. Cook 1 pound rigatoni as per package directions. Transfer 1/2 cup pasta water to skillet; add 1/4 cup heavy cream and 1 cup shredded mozzarella; cook 2 minutes; remove from heat. Drain rigatoni; add to sauce. Makes 6 servings.
