  1. 1 of 3 Heat oil in large skillet. Add onion and garlic; saute 3 to 5 minutes or until softened. Stir in rice; saute for 2 to 3 minutes.
  2. 2 of 3 Add tomatoes, broth, thyme and bay leaf to skillet. Cover; simmer for 30 minutes.
  3. 3 of 3 Stir in broccoli. Cover; simmer 10 minutes, until just tender. Add shrimp and ham; simmer, covered, 5 minutes. Remove bay leaf. Makes 4 servings.
