Speedy Pasta Sauce
When dinner poses a challenge, turn to this easy sauce recipe. Just add tomato, bacon, and peas to your favorite cooked pasta to make a meal in less than 30 minutes.

  1. 1 of 3 Cook bacon in a medium-size saucepan over medium heat for 8 minutes, until cooked through but not crispy. Drain on paper towels and discard drippings, but do not wipe out pan.
  2. 2 of 3 Increase heat to medium-high and add tomatoes and their juice, breaking apart tomatoes with your hands while adding. Stir in sugar, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, pepper and salt. Cook 5 minutes (simmering vigorously), stirring every so often.
  3. 3 of 3 Remove pan from heat and add peas, sour cream and drained bacon. Serve over cooked pasta.
