Vegetable Soup

  1. 1 of 2 Combine broth, water, tomato, carrot, turnip, onion, celery, potato, sweet pepper, garlic, parsley, barley, bay leaf, basil, cayenne, oregano and salt in large pot. Simmer 25 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  2. 2 of 2 Add beans and corn. Simmer 20 minutes longer or until beans are tender. Remove bay leaf. Serve with crackers, corn bread or Whole-Wheat Biscuits ( Makes 9 servings.
