• Place steak in a large bowl and toss with ginger, five-spice powder and 1/2 tsp salt.

  • Heat 2 tbsp oil in a large skillet or wok over med-high.

  • Once oil is hot, add steak and stir-fry 3 to 4 min, until browned. Remove to a plate or bowl with tongs and add 1 tbsp oil to skillet.

  • Add peppers, kale, onion and garlic to skillet and sprinkle with 1/4 tsp salt. Stir-fry 3 to 4 min, until crisp-tender.

  • Return steak to skillet, with soy sauce and sugar. Cook 1 min until all ingredients are well-blended. Serve over brown rice. Swap It: Try subbing in an equal amount of chicken breast strips or lean pork for the steak.
