  1. 1 of 4 In a large microwave-safe dish, combine sweet potatoes, ginger and 1/2 tsp salt with 1 cup water. Cover dish tightly with plastic wrap and poke holes to vent.
  2. 2 of 4 Microwave at 100% for 15 min. Drain potatoes and mash with butter, sugar, cinnamon and 1/4 tsp salt.
  3. 3 of 4 Stir in pecans and spread in a broiler-safe dish.
  4. 4 of 4 Heat broiler. Top potatoes with marshmallows. Broil until marshmallows are browned, 1 to 2 min.
