  1. 1 of 3 Heat broiler to high. In a large ovenproof skillet, combine tomatoes, sausage, pigeon peas and pepper. Bring to a simmer over medium-high heat and simmer 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  2. 2 of 3 Meanwhile, cook pasta following package directions. Drain, reserving 1/2 cup of the pasta water. Add to skillet.
  3. 3 of 3 Stir cooked fusilli and 1 cup of the cheese into skillet. Sprinkle remaining 1/2 cup cheese over pasta. Broil 2 minutes. Serve immediately.
