We've all heard about the dangers of texting while driving. Yet a whopping 31% of Americans admit to sending and receiving texts while behind the wheel—many of whom are teens.
In an effort to battle this dangerous behavior, the Wireless Foundation has launched its annual video contest, called Drive Smart: No Distractions, No Excuses. The contest asks for teens ages 13 to 18 to create a short video educating their peers on the dangers of texting while driving. The grand prize winner will get $5,000, with smaller prizes for runners-up and semi-finalists. That's not money to sneeze at! For more information on the contest, visit DriveSmartNow.com.
The contest is open now through December 15, 2015. To get inspired, check out the video from last year's winner here.
